Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager with 15-20+ years of experience leading large-scale technology initiatives in complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is a native or fluent German speaker with a strong consulting background, exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering strategic IT programs.

This role requires executive-level communication skills, strong leadership presence, and the ability to navigate challenging stakeholder landscapes while driving project delivery, business value realization, and customer satisfaction. Experience in Digital Marketing, CRM, Customer Engagement Platforms or MarTech ecosystems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Leadership

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects and transformation programs.
• Define project scope, governance structure, delivery strategy, resource plans, and success criteria.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and quality outcomes.
• Ensure alignment of project objectives with business strategy and customer expectations.
• Drive program execution across multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
• Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and client sponsors.
• Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues and decision-making.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments and conflicting priorities effectively.
• Conduct steering committee meetings, executive reviews, and status reporting.
• Influence business and technology stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
• Monitor project performance through KPIs, milestones, and financial metrics.
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies proactively.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Coach project managers, workstream leads, business analysts, and delivery teams.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Drive accountability and ownership across project teams.
• Partner with clients to understand strategic objectives and translate them into executable delivery plans.
• Support business case development, roadmap definition, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide strategic advisory and consulting support to senior client leadership.
• Identify opportunities for account growth and service expansion.
• Lead projects involving Digital Marketing, CRM, Customer Experience, Customer Engagement Platforms, Marketing Automation or MarTech.
• Collaborate with business teams to optimize customer journeys and digital engagement strategies.
• Support integration of marketing technologies with enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree (preferred).
• 15-20+ years of IT Project and Program Management experience.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale technology transformation projects.
• Strong consulting experience gained within leading IT services, consulting, or digital transformation organizations.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-million-euro budgets and large delivery teams.
• Experience working directly with C-level stakeholders and executive sponsors.
• Experience managing international and cross-cultural teams.
• Native or near-native German language proficiency (mandatory).
• Professional English communication skills (written and spoken).
