Role Overview

We’re looking for our first full-time UI/UX Designer to join our growing team in the Bay Area. You’ll be at the forefront of designing innovative product experiences in AI-assisted development — helping invent new ways for humans to interact with intelligent systems.

This is a highly collaborative and creative role. You’ll work closely with product and engineering from concept to implementation, owning projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate is excited about uncharted territory, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven to create interfaces that make complex tools simple, intuitive, and beautiful.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX and UI design for new product features and workflows
• Work with product and engineering to translate ideas into user-centric solutions
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation
• Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
• Help define and evolve a consistent, scalable design system
• Provide dev-ready design assets and support frontend engineers during implementation
• Bring creativity and structure to designing new interaction patterns in the AI space

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communication, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Experience: 3–5 years in a UI/UX or product design role with end-to-end ownership
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design process and interface polish
• Tooling: Mastery of Figma and other modern design tools
• Communication: Clear communication skills — able to collaborate closely with engineers and product managers
• Collaboration: Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
• Mindset: Passion for designing elegant solutions to complex technical workflows

Bonus Points

• Experience designing developer tools, technical products, or workflow-heavy platforms
• Curiosity about AI, LLMs, and the future of human-computer interaction
• Familiarity with frontend development concepts (e.g., design systems, Storybook, HTML/CSS)
• Understanding of accessibility (a11y) best practices and inclusive design

Base pay range for this role is $175k-250k. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location.
