Java Software Engineer (E-Commerce Solutions)

Our client, a fast-growing European e-commerce solutions company, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their expanding team. Focused on building intuitive digital products, our client has already grown to serve over 50,000 monthly users.

Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable applications that improve customer experience and drive revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software features and impactful experiments.

Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices, JavaScript, React, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Hibernate, TDD, Agile, Programmer, Full Stack Developer, Backend Developer, Java Software Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and ship production code that delivers measurable user and business impact.
• Conduct experiments and data-driven analyses to gain insight into user behaviour and improve product performance.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to scalable architecture decisions for backend and mobile-first applications.
• Engage directly with business teams to understand priorities and align engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience in backend or app development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin; familiarity with JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with Hibernate, CI/CD tools, and containerization (Docker).

Location: Munich, Germany / Remote

Salary: €60,000 – €100,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Company Shares
