What is Cobre and what do we do?
Cobre is a corporate treasury and payments platform designed to elevate the way Latin American companies manage their finances. At Cobre, we build CFO-tech on top of owned payment rails in order to give real-time capabilities to domestic and cross border payments, empowering every peso that our clients move.
We are committed to eliminating friction between companies, their banking partners, their people and their money– so that money movement becomes a growth driver, rather than a time-consuming task. In this pursuit, Cobre has grown to become a trusted provider of corporates and tech giants in the region, while building a profitable business that has grown 10x in the past 12 months.
What we are looking for:
As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Cobre’s product experience, focusing on transforming complex financial processes into intuitive, impactful, and visually compelling user interfaces. This is an opportunity to design products that not only improve financial management for our clients but also challenge and elevate industry standards for treasury management and payments in Latin America.
What would you be doing:
- User-Centered Design: Drive end-to-end design processes, from research and ideation through prototyping, user testing, and final UI design, ensuring that every interaction aligns with our clients’ needs and expectations.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate business goals and user needs into meaningful design solutions.
- Data-Informed Decisions: Use data, feedback, and research insights to refine design decisions, ensuring our platform remains both functional and user-friendly.
- System Thinking: Develop and maintain a scalable design system that unifies our product’s look and feel, improving the efficiency and consistency of our design solutions.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior designers, providing feedback and guidance to elevate the team’s overall design quality and problem-solving capabilities.
What do you need:
- Experience: 5+ years in product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in building user-centric, high-quality digital products.
- Skills: Mastery of design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite), strong prototyping abilities, and experience with user research and testing methodologies.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in fintech, finance, or payments is highly preferred, with an understanding of treasury management, payments processes, or corporate finance a strong plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.
- Problem Solving: Ability to tackle design challenges with a strategic, problem-solving mindset that aligns with Cobre’s vision of eliminating friction in money movement.
