We’re looking for an experienced pharmaceutical UX/UI Designer with agency experience for a client.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the end-to-end design process, from initial concept development and user research to detailed UI specifications and visual design.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions within the pharmaceutical context.
- Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes (low-fidelity and high-fidelity), and information architecture that effectively communicate complex pharmaceutical information.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly user interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Ensure all design solutions comply with relevant pharmaceutical regulations, industry guidelines (e.g., FDA), and legal requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including strategy, copywriting, medical/regulatory review, and development, to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Present design and rationale to internal teams and clients, clearly articulating design decisions and incorporating feedback.
- Maintain and evolve design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices, particularly within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, or similar.
- 4+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, with demonstrable experience working within a pharmaceutical advertising agency.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for web, mobile, and other digital platforms, with specific examples of pharmaceutical projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma (required), Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision.
- Solid understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to translate research findings into actionable design insights.
- Excellent understanding of usability principles, information architecture, visual design, and interaction design.
- Proven ability to navigate and adhere to pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements in digital design.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and their implementation in digital design.
- Experience with Veeva CLM or other pharmaceutical content management systems.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals a plus.
- Experience designing for different target audiences within the pharmaceutical space (HCPs, patients, DTC)
- Availability for full-time hours now through June 2025 with the possibility of extension.
