For this role, Clovertex is collaborating with a cutting-edge MedTech startup transforming real-time imaging for interventional cardiology. You will work on advanced visualization technologies that directly support life-saving clinical procedures.

Role: Software Engineer – Medical Imaging

Location: Remote (India or US)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance imaging and visualization applications using C++ and modern graphics frameworks.
• Build and optimize 3D rendering pipelines, including handling volumetric data, meshes, and point clouds.
• Implement real-time data processing workflows for interventional cardiology imaging systems.
• Work with medical imaging standards (e.g., DICOM) for acquisition, parsing, and conversion.
• Design and integrate algorithms for segmentation, reconstruction, and geometric processing.
• Collaborate closely with clinicians, imaging scientists, and full-stack engineering teams to translate clinical needs into robust software features.
• Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance for medical-grade applications.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17) with knowledge of memory management, templates, and multi-threading.
• Hands-on experience with VTK (Visualization Toolkit) for rendering, geometry processing, and volume visualization.
• Experience with PCL (Point Cloud Library) for 3D point-cloud manipulation, filtering, and registration.
• Solid understanding of medical imaging concepts such as modality workflows, DICOM, segmentation, reconstruction, etc.
• Experience working with 3D imaging datasets (CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, or similar).
• Good understanding of computer graphics, GPU programming basics, or rendering pipelines.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance-tuning skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with clinical and engineering teams.
