Job Summary: We are looking for a results-driven Technical Product Owner (TPO) with strong healthcare domain expertise and a hands-on technical background to lead the development of Preferred Drug List (PDL) solutions. This role demands a proactive leader who can translate business needs into scalable, compliant, and data-driven products, owning the vision, execution, and delivery end-to-end.
Experience:
• 6+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner in healthcare or pharmacy domains.
• 4+ years of experience with PDL or Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM).
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Own and drive the full product lifecycle for PDL solutions—from strategy and design to delivery and optimization.
• Define and communicate a clear product roadmap aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog prioritization and sprint planning to ensure timely delivery of high-impact features.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and clinical teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Guide development teams with technical insights, ensuring architectural integrity and performance.
• Analyze drug utilization and formulary data using SQL and reporting tools to inform product decisions.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and internal quality standards.
• Champion rigorous testing, validation, and continuous improvement practices.
• Act as the PDL subject matter expert and trusted advisor to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Pharmacy, or related field.
• 6+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner in healthcare or pharmacy domains.
Technical Product Owner – Preferred Drug List (PDL)
• 4+ years of experience with PDL, Formulary, and Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM).
• Prior hands-on programming experience, especially in cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large healthcare datasets.
• Familiarity with formulary management systems and drug classification standards (e.g., NDC, RxNorm).
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and experience leading Agile teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with API integration, data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
