About The Role

CloudBees is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer who possesses a strong background in web application development in using Next.js and Astro. You'll be responsible for products that deliver software with better quality, faster and more consistently. Enterprise class DevOps and CI/CD development experience is a plus.

Tech stack you will be working with:

• Front-End: Next.js, Astro, TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS
• Back-End: Node.js, Express, custom APIs, serverless functions
• Content & Integrations: Contentful, REST APIs, GitHub, 3rd-party services
• Tooling: Yarn, Vite, Jest, ESLint, Prettier
• CI/CD & Infra: Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, GitHub Actions

• Architect, develop, and maintain web applications and static sites using Next.js and Astro.
• Build and optimize serverless Node.js APIs and services to power dynamic site content.
• Create performant, accessible, and SEO-optimized front-end experiences.
• Develop CMS integrations using Contentful.
• Define and implement reusable components, design systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes clusters with an eye toward scalability and observability.
• Tune performance across the full stack—from Lighthouse scores to API response times.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, design, DevOps, and product engineering teams.
• Write robust unit, integration, and E2E tests; participate in code reviews and refactoring.
• Drive automation, observability, and deployment best practices across projects.

What You’ll Do :

What We’re Looking For :

• 5+ years of full stack development experience in production environments.
• Expert in Node.js and front-end frameworks such as Next.js or Astro.
• Deep knowledge of React, Yarn and modern JavaScript/TypeScript tooling.
• Proficiency with headless CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful) and dynamic content delivery.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
• Experience containerizing apps and deploying to Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong understanding of web performance, SEO, accessibility, and analytics.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Sentry, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Solid grasp of Git workflows, code quality standards, and test automation.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, asynchronous, remote team.

Bonus /Preferred Skills:

• Experience with static site generation at scale (Astro Islands architecture or hybrid SSG/SSR).
• Familiarity with marketing tech stacks (A/B testing, analytics, personalization).
• Contributions to open-source or technical blog writing.
• Experience deploying globally-distributed front-end infrastructure (e.g., CDNs, edge functions).
