About the Role
We are building a social media platform focused on engagement, usability, and scalable growth. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who understands user behavior, social interaction patterns, and mobile-first design. You will play a key role in shaping features that drive retention, interaction, and community growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive and engaging experiences for a social media platform (web and native iOS/Android)
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
- Design social features such as feeds, profiles, messaging, notifications, reactions, and sharing tools
- Design and optimize overlays including modals, pop-ups, bottom sheets, and onboarding flows
- Collaborate closely with product managers and front-end, back-end, and native mobile developers
- Ensure seamless integration with APIs and real-time data interactions
- Improve engagement metrics such as retention, session time, and user interaction
- Maintain and evolve a scalable design system
Requirements
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience
- Experience designing for social media platforms or high-engagement consumer products
- Strong understanding of user psychology, engagement loops, and content-driven UX
- Experience working with front-end teams and understanding back-end/API constraints
- Experience designing for native iOS and Android platforms
- Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools)
- Strong portfolio showcasing interactive, high-traffic, or engagement-focused products
Nice to Have
- Experience with A/B testing and data-informed design decisions
- Knowledge of analytics tools and user behavior tracking
- Experience designing real-time features (chat, notifications, live updates)
- Familiarity with accessibility and performance optimization in mobile apps
