Job Description
Clinical ink is seeking a Product Designer to join our Product Management team based remotely across the United States! This role will focus on designing intuitive, user-friendly products that support clinical trials. We are seeking a highly motived and creative individual who can work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create and refine features that balance user needs with business goals. This role requires strong attention to consistency, experience with design systems, clear documentation of design updates, and the ability to present work directly to clients. The Product Designer's responsibilities include:
- End-to-End Product Design – Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups, from concept to implementation.
- Collaborative Design – Work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to define requirements and iterate on solutions.
- User-Centered Research – Conduct usability testing, interviews, and surveys to inform design decisions.
- Design Systems & Consistency – Maintain and contribute to a scalable design system, ensuring consistency across products.
- Clear Documentation – Record and communicate design updates, rationale, and workflows for internal and external alignment.
- Presenting Work – Independently present designs to clients and stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale and incorporating feedback.
- Stay Current – Keep up with design trends, tools, and best practices, particularly in health literacy and usability.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating user-centered solutions.
- Proficiency in Figma for creating high-fidelity prototypes. Experience working with and maintaining design systems is required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and presenting to clients.
- Ability to analyze user research and translate insights into meaningful design improvements.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency in UI/UX design.
- Familiarity with motion design (After Effects).
- Background in enterprise software design, particularly in complex or data-heavy environments.
- Proficiency in information architecture and the ability to map out and simplify complex workflows.
- Experience in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or clinical trials preferred.
- Strong understanding of accessibility in design and experience incorporating accessibility best practices preferred.
- Experience designing software for patients or working on patient-facing applications preferred.
