Software Engineer

We’re partnering a mission-driven climate tech startup building software to accelerate the clean energy transition. They are profitable, growing, and focused on making a real impact on decarbonizing the U.S. power grid.

Your Impact (Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you’ll build data products and core infrastructure that directly enable more renewable energy projects to break ground. You’ll work cross-functionally with both software engineers and transmission planning experts to deliver high-impact features, expand into new markets, and roll out entirely new product lines.

Day-to-day, your work will involve designing and shipping Python-based data pipelines, supporting backend services, and occasionally contributing to the frontend. You’ll help shape our product alongside a small, collaborative team typically composed of a product manager, a software engineer, and a transmission engineer. The work is highly interdisciplinary and fast-paced—ideal for someone who thrives in an environment where plans evolve and ownership is shared.

About you

• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Motivated by climate impact and excited to support the renewable energy industry
• Thrive in ambiguity and take initiative on large, loosely-defined project
• Collaborative, pragmatic, and flexible—especially in a startup environmemt
• Strong Python skills and experience with data pipelines (e.g., pandas, dagster)
• Open to working across the stack, though frontend experience is not required
• Preferably experienced with GraphQL, React, or TypeScript
• Looking for any well-rounded engine_er exc_ept pure frontend specialists
