Position Description – Full Stack Software Engineer (Australia Only)
Position Title: Full Stack Software Engineer
Location: Remote (Australia only), with occasional travel if required
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $90,000 – $150,000 AUD (based on experience and portfolio)
Company: CLIENTee
About Us
CLIENTee is a post-revenue, well-funded Australian startup solving communication and operational pain points in the residential building industry. Our platform helps builders, clients, and trades collaborate more effectively—streamlining conversations, variation approvals, document sharing, and project milestones. Our team has a genuine passion for solving these frustrations who impact the mental health of builders in Australia.
You’ll join an experienced and tight-knit founding team:
We’re past MVP and early revenue—we're now focused on scaling the platform with real customers, robust systems, and an ambitious product roadmap. You have a great opportunity to join a startup at a pivotal time as it matures DevOps, rearchitects code and gears up for a tremendous growth cycle.
The Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-trust startup environment. You’ll work closely with the CTO and a part-time developer, helping design, build, and deliver new features that are actively used by professionals in the residential construction sector.
You’ll also contribute to ongoing architectural and process decisions, using LEAN delivery practices with Jira to drive rapid, iterative releases based on real user feedback.
At CLIENTee, we’re not just building software — we’re working to improve one of the most challenging and emotionally charged journeys many Australians will ever go through.
Construction is the second largest sector in Australia and chances are that all of us will be touched by it at least once in our lives whether building a home now or hoping to in the future. But for too many people, the experience falls well short. In fact, over three-quarters of Australians describe their building journey as “horrible.” Sadly, it’s not just tough for clients, for those working in the sector, the mental strain can be just as severe — with rates of psychological distress, suicide and burnout the highest of any industry in Australia.
We’ve seen the toll this can take on clients, builders, trades and suppliers alike — and we believe things can be better.
That’s why we’re building CLIENTee — a platform designed to reduce stress, improve communication, and create better outcomes across the board.
Everything we do is guided by a simple but powerful "why":
To bring more transparency, trust, and positive outcomes to people on all sides of the service industry.
We don’t expect this to be easy — meaningful change rarely is. And we know it’s going to take serious effort from a small, committed team in the early stages. We’re looking for people who understand the challenges, see the opportunity, and are ready to roll up their sleeves to help us build something better. Whether you’ve lived through the frustrations of this industry or simply want to contribute to something that genuinely helps people — you’ll find a team here that shares your drive.
If that mission speaks to you — if you want to be part of a team working for real, meaningful change — we’d love to chat.
