The Role
We’re looking for a business-focused Sr. Data Scientist who is equally comfortable digging into data and engaging with stakeholders. The ideal candidate is someone who can frame complex business problems, build the right analytical or machine learning models, and translate the results into clear, actionable insights.
You’ll proactively partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Technology to uncover opportunities, recommend optimizations, and help define the data and experiences we need to collect to power future decisions. This is not a heads-down research role. This is a strategic, high-agency position where curiosity, communication, and business acumen matter just as much as technical skill. You’ll act as both analyst and innovator, ensuring that ClearOne uses data not just to measure the past, but to shape the future.
Responsibilities
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver data-driven, actional insights. • Apply supervised and unsupervised ML (classification/regression, clustering, time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, and NLP incl. topic modeling) to ClearOne use cases such as lead & channel scoring, client segmentation, enrollment/payment propensity, pricing & rule-band optimization (incl. weekend pricing), contact strategy & agent routing, retention/churn prediction, fraud/data quality monitoring, and ops forecasting.
• Implement and maintain ML Ops practices to manage model lifecycles for scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to deploy models and ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Design and evaluate experiments to measure impact and guide business initiatives
• Communicate complex analysis and model outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field • Minimum 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience applying data science and machine learning techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, segmentation, optimization) to solve real-world business problems.
• Strong foundation in applied statistics, causal inference, experiment design, and machine learning.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python/R, with experience using ML libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present insights in business-relevant terms.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
