About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to join our team to own the GTM foundation for our company and solutions: who we target, how we position, and why we win. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure our story resonates with customers, differentiates us in the market, and drives measurable business outcomes. The Principal PMM will serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor, responsible for developing core messaging, enabling sales, and influencing product direction through market insights.
Responsibilities
Strategic Messaging & Positioning
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product messaging and positioning frameworks at the company and product level.
- Translate market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights into actionable positioning and differentiated narratives.
- Create and own the master messaging document that serves as the single source of truth for all product communications.
- Define value propositions and key differentiators for target segments.
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
- Lead the research and analysis to define, refine, and champion our ICP and buyer personas.
- Drive ongoing market research and competitive analysis to inform differentiation.
- Partner with customers to capture and showcase proof points, case studies, and ROI stories.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities that help shape the product vision and GTM strategy.
Go-to-Market Leadership
- Lead cross-functional go-to-market planning and execution for product launches.
- Create launch timelines, success metrics, and post-launch optimization plans.
- Partner with Product Management to shape roadmap priorities through market feedback.
Sales, Marketing & Customer Success Collaboration
- Partner with Revenue Enablement to create sales enablement content (battlecards, presentations, competitive briefs, playbooks).
- Work closely with demand generation to optimize campaign messaging and targeting.
- Partner with content marketing to ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, or related roles in B2B SaaS, cloud, or cybersecurity.
- 3+ years in a senior or principal-level role with proven track record of successful launches.
- Experience developing messaging frameworks that scale across multiple products/segments.
- Strong background in competitive analysis and market research.
- Proven success working with Sales, Product, and Executive teams to drive adoption and growth.
- Experience in healthcare, cloud, or regulated industries preferred (but not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
Required Skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value.
- Data-driven approach to messaging validation and optimization.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills (written, visual, and verbal).
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with shifting priorities.
- Project management skills with ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.

Pay range and compensation package
Budgeted Compensation: $175,000 base, 15% bonus.
