Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Operations, this role is critical in driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement through multi-channel marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital and traditional marketing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage campaigns and projects that resonate with our audience of global travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Campaign Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote Classic Journeys' tours and promotions.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, automation, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee paid media efforts (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta) and optimize for ROI.

2. Website Management:

  • Manage and maintain the Classic Journeys website to ensure it is up-to-date with accurate messaging, product offerings, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to update tour information, visuals, and branding.
  • Monitor website performance and implement SEO best practices to improve traffic and conversions.

3. Content Marketing:

  • Write compelling and on-brand copy for emails, ads, blogs, social media, website, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other team members to create engaging content.
  • Ensure all content reflects the Classic Journeys brand and supports our positioning as a luxury travel provider.

4. Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy to grow engagement and reach.
  • Create and schedule posts, manage community engagement, and monitor analytics.

5. Catalog and Direct Mail Production:

  • Oversee the design and production of the annual catalog and other direct mail pieces.
  • Collaborate with designers and printers to ensure timely and high-quality production.
  • Ensure that all print materials align with the Classic Journeys brand and messaging strategy.

6. Public Relations & Awards:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to promote Classic Journeys through industry awards and recognition programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote Edward and Susie (Classic Journeys Founders) as thought leaders in the tour operator field.
  • Seek out PR opportunities to share their story and insights about founding and running Classic Journeys.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and press contacts to coordinate media coverage and promote Classic Journeys.

7. Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and channels.
  • Use insights to refine strategies and optimize marketing ROI.
  • Maintain dashboards and monitor KPIs such as bookings, lead conversion rates, and email open rates.

8. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work with the sales and operations teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Coordinate promotions and campaigns with key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors to identify new opportunities.

9. Brand Stewardship:

  • Uphold the integrity of the Classic Journeys brand across all platforms.
  • Proactively innovate with ideas to maintain the brand’s relevance and competitiveness.

Requirements:

1. Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in travel, luxury goods, or a related industry.

2. Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
  • Experience managing websites, including content updates, and basic familiarity with platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or similar CMS.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a focus on clear, persuasive, and engaging copy.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM platforms.
  • Experience with catalog production, direct mail marketing, and working with designers and printers.
  • Demonstrated experience in public relations, building press relationships, and managing PR campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and optimize campaigns accordingly.
