Civis Analytics is hiring an AI Product Manager to drive the development of AI-powered products that enhance the Civis Platform. We serve mission-driven organizations including non-profits like Doctors without Borders, Sierra Club, and Human Rights Campaign, as well as government agencies and mission-focused commercial organizations.
As our AI Product Manager, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical teams to build AI solutions that help these organizations make better data-driven decisions.
Salary: $110,000 annually
What You'll Do
- Develop the roadmap for AI products, considering the rapidly evolving AI landscape and competitive environment
- Manage the AI product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch optimization
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to solve problems for non-profits, government agencies, and other mission-driven organizations
- Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and designers to build and refine AI features
- Collaborate with client success teams to understand the unique needs of non-profit organizations and mission-driven clients
- Create detailed product requirements and user stories for AI features and capabilities
- Lead product discovery sessions and user research to validate product concepts
- Communicate product strategy and progress to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
- Define success metrics and KPIs for AI product performance and user adoption
What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- 3-5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI products or data-driven products
- Strong understanding of large language model software deployment, machine learning concepts, and data science workflows
- Familiarity with AI development platforms (e.g. Cursor, Google Gemini/Vertex, Claude Code)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including data scientists, and software engineers
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- US work authorization required
Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Experience managing development of AI applications, especially focused on data workflows
- Experience working with non-profit, public sector, or mission-driven organizations
- Experience working with forward deployed developer or technical consulting teams.
