POSITION SUMMARY

As the Senior Product Manager, you will help define and execute the product strategy for CIQ Linux offerings, focusing on creating innovative, reliable solutions for enterprise and research markets across on-premises and cloud deployments.

This is a technical leadership role, and you will be responsible for shaping the direction of the CIQ portfolio by working with leadership to define forward-looking strategies. You will collaborate deeply with GTM and engineering leaders across the organization to manage user experience and operational coherence across the offerings. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and customer-facing teams to develop product roadmaps that align with customer needs and market trends.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and execution of CIQ’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap in partnership with leadership, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term direction.
  • Translate executive vision and complex technical requirements into a clear product strategy and prioritized backlogs
  • Build and ship enterprise Linux infrastructure products with a deep understanding of how Linux performs at scale.
  • Staying at the forefront of Linux industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to inform product development and position our Linux products strategically in the market.
  • Own the full product lifecycle, from discovery and market analysis through GA launch and post-launch iteration.
  • Working cross-functionally with Marketing, BizDev, Sales, CSX, and Engineering to build out product-led growth capabilities and programs.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to develop GTM strategy and sales enablement materials.
  • Drive prioritization decisions using data, customer insights, and business impact.

NEEDED TO SUCCEED

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
  • Solid understanding of product strategy and market positioning
  • Understanding of open source development and community-based support models.
  • Ability to travel when needed to support industry events or customer onsite visits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably in enterprise software.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, preferably Rocky Linux or RHEL.
  • Technical understanding of Linux operating systems, kernel development, and the broader open-source ecosystem.
  • Experience scaling new ideas across large, global user bases.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and launching enterprise-level software and online service products.
