About Our Team:

The Commerce domain’s Order processing team develops and maintains features that enable the creation and fulfillment of thousands of orders every single day. We own the order lifecycle across multiple Cimpress businesses.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who goes beyond just writing code, who is a problem solver with a strong technical foundation in and Java, capable of building robust, scalable applications.

In this role, you won’t just take tickets; you will own features. We value engineers who possess an impact-based thought process, understanding why we are building something and how it brings value to the user. If you care deeply about code quality, have a zeal for learning modern DevOps practices, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role is for you.

What you will do:

● Design, develop, and maintain microservices and cloud-native applications using TypeScript, Java, C#, Go, and AWS services

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.

● Active involvement in designing and implementing efficient and secure API services to support various business functionalities.

● Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards.

● Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues promptly.

● Implement and maintain automated testing strategies for robust software delivery.

● Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Qualifications we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and/or training.
Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on microservices, cloud-native applications, and data-intensive applications.
Fluency in at least one “mainstream” development language, with JavaScript/Typescript being preferred. Knowledge of AWS RDS and NoSQL databases is a plus.
Experience in recent, modern software development and a desire to write (and review) code every day.
In-depth understanding of design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. AWS knowledge is preferred.
Be detail-oriented and an analytical problem solver
Pick up new concepts quickly from experienced team members
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues around the globe
Handle occasional PagerDuty shifts to ensure our SaaS micro services are always available
