Reporting to the Head of Marketing the Director Marketing, Patient & Omnichannel will drive Omnichannel and patient marketing strategy, tactics and implementation. Omnichannel and patient marketing strategy, tactical planning, tool development, market research oversight and implementation are all within scope of this position.
- Drive marketing strategies, tactics and implementation, aligning with commercial, medical and other needs to provide consistent launch, brand and portfolio messaging across digital, field and traditional channels. Patient, Omnichannel, and HCP are all within scope.
- Develop and implement dynamic customer engagement strategies to include digital and non-digital engagement and content strategy.
- Optimize data and insights, including real time tracking and predictive analytics to influence patient and omnichannel strategy and tactics.
- Evaluate opportunities to drive AI personalization and tech enablement with AI integration
- Align marketing strategies and tactics with cross functional initiatives from medical affairs, patient advocacy, field sales and market access, including payer engagement and patient programs.
- Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and analyze market trends, relating to omnichannel and patient strategies and tactics.
- Execute targeted engagement plans with key stakeholders, including HCPs, patients, advocacy groups, health systems, and other partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the approval process of Omnichannel and patient marketing materials through Chimerix’s Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and vendors, ensuring quality deliverables within budgetary constraints.
- Partner with Corporate Compliance to ensure field teams are up to date on policies, procedures, and regulatory standards relevant to their roles.
- Gather insights from colleagues and field leadership to continuously refine omnichannel and patient priorities and develop content that addresses current and emerging needs in the marketplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (science or business preferred); MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 8 years of progressive commercial experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals and /or medical devices, with a focus on omnichannel, HCP and / or patient marketing. Specialty experience in areas such as oncology, or rare disease is preferred.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies, especially in product launches.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience defining the strategy for omnichannel, HCP and / or patient marketing for a brand or portfolio of products, ability to oversee generation of insights, and apply those insights to business problems/opportunities.
- Experience in building capabilities essential for launch success.
- Vendor management experience, including managing contracts and budgets for marketing resources.
- Outstanding communication, project management, and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and align resources to achieve organizational goals.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
