Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Senior AEM Developer to provide architectural leadership and end-to-end technical direction for the design, development, integration, and modernization of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms solutions in support of a federal agency. This position will lead the overall technical strategy for intelligent forms, workflow automation, system interoperability, and user-centered, Section 508-compliant design. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in AEM Forms architecture, cloud environments, data services, and federal integration points including ICAM, case management systems, and third-party APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical lead and architect for AEM Forms implementation and integration, overseeing adaptive forms, templates, data models, and digital workflows.
  • Define and guide architecture solutions that align with customer requirements, enterprise governance, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Develop strategies for integrating AEM Forms with agency systems (e.g., ICAM, case management, data lakes, Tableau) using APIs, web services, and OSGi modules.
  • Design reusable components, metadata strategies, and custom modules for smart and dynamic form experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership to developers, UX designers, and testers, ensuring implementation aligns with architectural vision.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Section 508 SME to ensure delivery is Agile, traceable, compliant, and optimized for performance and accessibility.
  • Lead design reviews, system architecture documentation, DevOps pipeline integration, and performance tuning.
  • Recommend best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve AEM Forms capabilities and delivery.
  • Provide mentoring, troubleshooting, and technical oversight throughout the SDLC.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of technical architecture experience in enterprise web platforms, with 5+ years in Adobe AEM Forms.
  • Expert knowledge of AEM Forms architecture, components, workflows, XFA, Adaptive Forms, OSGi services, CRXDE, and Sling models.
  • Proven experience with digital signature, PIV/CAC integration, form data model design, and accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG 2.1).
  • Experience integrating AEM with enterprise systems via RESTful APIs, SAML, SSO, and identity access solutions (e.g., ICAM).
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted AEM environments, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipeline tools (Git, Jenkins, SonarQube).
  • Agile delivery experience using Scrum or SAFe; strong skills in JIRA, Confluence, and requirements traceability.
  • Adobe certifications such as AEM Architect or Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM Forms are highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
