About The Role
SmartAsset is rebuilding its advisor growth function as an AI-native operation. This role focuses on building and operating systems to drive advisor acquisition, lifecycle automation, and revenue attribution using AI, automation, APIs, and data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate systems for advisor acquisition, lifecycle automation, and revenue attribution.
- Replace manual marketing work with scalable infrastructure using LLMs, automation, and APIs.
- Own growth in Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) and Sales Accepted Leads (SAL) while improving Cost Per Lead (CPL) and lead quality.
- Increase experimentation velocity across creative, landing pages, and lifecycle.
- Develop closed-loop attribution from marketing source to closed revenue.
- Unlock incremental pipeline without adding Sales Development Representative (SDR) headcount.
Key Systems to Build
- AI-native content and campaign generation with an evaluation layer for brand voice, conversion intent, and compliance.
- Persona segmentation and enrichment pipelines for real-time lead mapping and personalization.
- Paid media automation for Google and LinkedIn Ads driven by APIs.
- Lifecycle and nurture systems with suppression logic across paid, CRM, and lifecycle channels.
- Multi-touch attribution and a unified marketing-sales performance layer.
- Agentic workflows for enrichment, scoring, outreach, and follow-up.
Skills/Experience Required
- 2–6+ years in growth marketing, marketing engineering, or GTM engineering with production systems shipped.
- Fluency with Claude Code, Claude API, and LLM workflow tooling.
- Strong automation and API skills (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make).
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Experience with paid platform APIs (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
- Evaluation-first mindset on AI outputs, especially in regulated categories.
Skills/Experience Preferred
- Working knowledge of data modeling and data warehouses.
- Experience with multi-touch attribution and closed-loop revenue reporting in B2B.
- Experience building agentic workflows.
- Systems thinking, high execution velocity, and comfort operating independently.

Salary Range
$120,000 - $160,000 base salary + RSUs + benefits (for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and New York City residents)
