Role Description
We are seeking a technically minded UI/UX Designer to support the delivery of clean, user-centric interfaces across our product ecosystem. In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and design stakeholders to shape consistent, accessible, and elegant user experiences. Your work will span interface design, design system development, implementation support, and hands-on UX problem-solving across web and platform surfaces.
This is a hybrid design-engineering-support role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to ship high-quality product interfaces—not just mock them up.
Key Responsibilities:
Interface Design & UX Execution
- Design responsive, intuitive UI components and flows across Chargeblast’s internal and customer-facing products.
- Translate product requirements and user needs into wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI using Figma.
- Participate in usability audits, heuristic evaluations, and iterative UX improvements across the product lifecycle.
- Prototype interactions and states (hover, active, error, success, etc.) that engineers can implement precisely.
Design Systems & Implementation Support
- Maintain and evolve our Figma-based design system, ensuring scalable, accessible, and consistent components across surfaces.
- Work with front-end engineers to bridge the gap between design and code—supporting CSS decisions, layout breakdowns, and responsive behavior.
- Review staging environments and provide precise design QA feedback to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
- Advocate for accessibility (WCAG compliance) and performance-minded interface decisions in design work.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Act as a technical design partner to engineering and product—jumping into sprint planning, design critiques, and feature stand-ups.
- Rapidly support UI/UX design needs across product pods, including short-turnaround screens, layout fixes, and interaction logic.
- Contribute to design documentation, usage guidelines, and reusable workflows for design-engineering handoff.
What we are looking for:
- 2–4+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design, preferably in fast-paced technical environments (startups, B2B SaaS, dev tools, etc.).
- Deep proficiency in Figma (including autolayout, variables, component props, and prototyping).
- Strong grasp of responsive design, layout systems (Flexbox, Grid), accessibility, and modern UI patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with engineers—bonus points for understanding CSS or component frameworks (e.g. React, Tailwind).
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven work style.
- Comfortable working in EST or GST-aligned time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in FinTech, DevTools, or infrastructure-heavy products.
- Prior involvement in shipping and maintaining design systems in a multi-product environment.
- Working knowledge of front-end development (React, Vue, or HTML/CSS/JS).
- Passion for clean UX, logical interaction flows, and scalable design thinking.
- Plus: Ability to design and produce micro-animations or motion graphics (e.g., Lottie, After Effects, CSS/JS) that enhance usability and delight users.
Why Join Us?
At Chargeblast, design is infrastructure. This role is about enabling velocity and quality across the product by making great UI and UX easy to build, scale, and maintain. You won’t just deliver pretty screens—you’ll help deliver design that works in production, in close partnership with the people building it.
If you’re a systems thinker who loves solving messy UX problems and enjoys getting into the implementation weeds, this is the role for you.
