Overview

We are looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to lead and execute digital marketing strategies that drive engagement, improve product visibility, and optimize eCommerce performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in email marketing, marketing automation, product merchandising, SEO, social media strategy, HubSpot management, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate has a data-driven mindset, excellent project management skills, and a passion for delivering best-in-class experiences for our buyers to simplify their sourcing process. This is a fully remote position, but we prefer candidates based in Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing & Marketing Automation

  • Plan, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, conversions, and retention.
  • Manage marketing automation workflows (HubSpot) for lead nurturing, segmentation, and personalization.
  • Track, analyze, and report on email performance metrics to continuously improve results.

Merchandising, Product Data Optimization & eCommerce Strategy

  • Review and clean up product data from suppliers before importing into eCommerce and marketing systems.
  • Normalize and optimize product titles, descriptions, keywords, images, videos, and documentation to enhance search visibility and user experience.
  • Assist in category management and merchandising strategy, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with business goals.

SEO & Competitive Research

  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform SEO and content strategies.
  • Optimize product pages, blog content, and landing pages to improve search engine rankings and organic traffic.
  • Monitor SEO performance metrics and recommend optimizations for sustained growth.

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement and brand awareness.
  • Manage content planning, posting, and performance tracking across relevant social platforms.
  • Identify emerging social trends and propose innovative ways to improve brand presence.

Data Analysis & Performance Tracking

  • Analyze marketing performance data across email, SEO, merchandising, and social media to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Looker, and competitive research platforms to generate actionable insights.
  • Report on key KPIs including traffic, engagement, conversion rates, customer behavior, and ROI.
  • Conduct deep dives into shopping behaviors, product performance, and content effectiveness to drive optimization strategies.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for improving marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

HubSpot & Marketing Systems Management

  • Own HubSpot marketing operations, ensuring proper lead management, segmentation, automation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to optimize marketing and CRM integrations.
  • Ensure data hygiene and consistency within marketing systems.

Project Management & Communication

  • Lead cross-functional marketing projects, ensuring clear timelines, deliverables, and execution.
  • Work closely with product, sales, and content teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate marketing performance and insights effectively to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

·       5+ years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or related fields.

·       Strong expertise in email marketing, marketing automation, and lead nurturing. HubSpot experience required.

·       Hands-on experience with SEO research and optimization, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and content strategy.

·       Proven track record in product merchandising and eCommerce optimization.

·       Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Looker, and competitive research tools (SEMrush, Hotjar, etc.).

·       Experience developing and executing social media strategies for B2B or B2C brands.

·       Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present insights clearly.

·       Must be willing to traveling a few times a year.

·       Must be located in MN within an hour of Minneapolis/St.Paul.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
