Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing leader in the Military/DoD technology space, is seeking a highly capable Senior AI Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale multiple company products in secure, fast-moving environments.

This role is ideal for a pragmatic, product-minded engineer with strong frontend, backend, mobile, and platform-building capabilities who thrives in startup or pre-product-market-fit settings. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating with ambiguity, adapting quickly to evolving product priorities, and actively leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Product Development

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade applications across:
• Frontend
• Backend
• Mobile
• Develop scalable systems using:
• Python
• TypeScript / Node.js
• React or modern frontend frameworks
• Build customer-facing platforms, internal workflow tools, and scalable product systems
• Design and maintain APIs, distributed systems, and product integrations

Mobile & Platform Engineering

• Support Android/mobile development initiatives, including APK deployments
• Contribute to broader SDK, API, plugin, or platform engineering efforts
• Build systems for:
• Offline-capable environments
• Edge devices
• Multi-platform deployments
• Support evolving product ecosystems across multiple deployment channels

AI-Assisted Development

• Utilize modern AI coding tools such as:
• Claude
• Codex
• Copilot
• Integrate AI-assisted workflows into development practices
• Rapidly adopt emerging technologies to improve execution and scalability

Security & Compliance

• Build systems with strong security-conscious development practices
• Operate effectively within:
• CMMC
• CUI-sensitive
• Defense-adjacent
• Regulated environments
• Support compliance-driven product development

Product Agility & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and product teams
• Operate effectively in startup-like, rapidly evolving environments
• Help shape product direction and technical solutions
• Contribute proactively beyond rigid ticket execution

Required Qualifications

• 6–10 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with:
• Python
• TypeScript / Node.js
• React or modern frontend technologies
• Strong full stack product development experience
• Mobile development experience:
• Android
• APK deployment
• Multi-platform applications
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, plugin ecosystems, or broader platform development
• Startup, growth-stage, or pre-PMF product experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ownership mindset
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted coding tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
• CMMC
• GCC High
• Secure or regulated environments
• Defense or government systems
• Prior Secret Clearance
• Experience with:
• Offline-first systems
• Edge computing
