Our client is a well-backed, rapidly growing independent research and advisory firm operating at the sharp edge of Crypto and Blockchain innovation. They are recognised experts in MEV and decentralised infrastructure, helping ambitious organisations turn deep research into commercially viable products.

Now they’re hiring an AI Engineer, with Shipped AI in production experience, to sit at the centre of that evolution.

This isn’t a “build a chatbot” role.

It’s a high-impact position reporting directly to the CTO, designed to supercharge productivity across the entire organisation.

The Role

You’ll design and deploy AI systems that actually get used.

From internal tooling to developer experience enhancements and customer-facing AI products, your work will sit in production and drive measurable impact.

You’ll be trusted to spot opportunity, build fast, iterate faster, and make sure adoption happens.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building AI-powered internal tools and automation across teams
• Enhancing developer workflows with AI-assisted systems
• Designing and deploying customer-facing AI solutions
• Architecting large-scale RAG and knowledge systems
• Building agent and multi-agent architectures
• Selecting and optimising LLMs across providers (OpenRouter and beyond)
• Fine-tuning domain-specific models
• Creating workflow automations (n8n, LangChain pipelines)
• Implementing LLM observability (LangFuse, Weights & Biases)
• Continuously evaluating new models, frameworks and techniques

What They’re Looking For

You must have Shipped AI in Production experience

You’re strong in:

• Python, TypeScript or JavaScript
• LangChain and workflow automation
• RAG at scale
• LLM fine-tuning
• Agent / multi-agent architectures
• MCP & modern AI tooling (Cursor, Claude, etc.)
• Model selection and cost/performance optimisation
• Basic DevOps

Bonus Points

• Voice AI or multimodal systems
• Open-source AI contributions

You understand that shipping is only half the job — adoption is the other half.

The Key Trait

Product Manager mindset. You naturally ask: “What problem are we actually solving?” and “Will people use this?”

You proactively identify opportunities, drive buy-in, and make sure what you build compounds across the organisation.
