Job Summary

As a Senior Microsoft Fabric Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of business intelligence solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-impact dashboards and reports that support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

  • Designs, develops, and maintains Power BI reports tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborates with the project manager, product lead, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Works as a data engineer to acquire, clean, and transform data from various sources.
  • Creates complex DAX calculations and data models to support advanced analytics.
  • Ensures data accuracy, security, and compliance with internal standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to BI tools and data pipelines.
  • Provides training and support to end users on Power BI and data visualization best practices.
  • Stays current with Microsoft Fabric updates and emerging BI technologies.
  • Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, information systems, or a
  • related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in BI development or data engineering with a strong portfolio of Power BI solutions.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Service, including DAX, Power Query (M language.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Microsoft Fabric, including pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Power BI certification is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Indoor, Office environment.
  • Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
  • Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  • This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT, but remote work is available for qualified candidates.
  • Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or project collaboration.
