CDMS is a B2B Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) services company. We work directly with manufacturing and industrial clients, helping them stay compliant, safe, and operationally sound.
We have strong technical expertise and a clear brand. This role is about turning that expertise into a consistent, credible, and results-driven digital presence.
THE ROLE
This is a senior contractual role, not a management position, but one that requires you to operate independently and with sound judgment. You will own our digital marketing output end-to-end: SEO strategy and implementation, content creation, LinkedIn presence, and brand collateral. You will deeply learn our voice, our clients, and our industry, and use that knowledge to build a presence that earns trust in a technical, compliance-driven space.
You will work closely with our leadership team, who will brief you directly from client conversations and field intelligence. Your job is to transform that raw material into polished, on-brand content that sounds like us: credible, clear, and grounded in real EHS work.
If you have ever built a B2B content engine from a standing start and you understand what it takes to earn authority in a niche technical industry, this role was written for you.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (3–6 MONTHS)
Note: These targets are supported by timely input from leadership, tool access (Ahrefs, etc.), and shared alignment on priorities. We treat this as a two-way commitment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
SEO
Conduct and maintain a full SEO audit using Ahrefs; implement and track on-page optimizations
Perform ongoing keyword research and monitor rankings across target terms
Identify content gaps and build a topic roadmap based on search demand and competitive analysis
Own SEO reporting — surface insights to leadership in plain language with clear action items
Content & Ghostwriting
Write blog posts, LinkedIn articles, and newsletters in the voice of our leadership team
Turn client conversations and project outcomes (fed to you by our team) into compelling case studies
Curate RSS feeds from EHS, manufacturing, and safety industry sources; develop timely, opinionated content based on those topics
Maintain a consistent editorial calendar across all channels
Develop and refine our brand voice guide over time — so the standard is documented, not just in your head
LinkedIn Management
Manage our leadership team's LinkedIn presence — posting, commenting, and connecting on their behalf
Engage daily with content from existing clients and prospects in the EHS and manufacturing space
Grow our LinkedIn network through targeted, strategic outreach
Track follower growth, engagement rate, and lead signals — report monthly with clear takeaways
Collateral & Internal Branding
Apply our existing brand guidelines to materials provided by our technical team — one pagers, site posters, and laminated sheets for client locations
Coordinate with our onsite admin assistant for printing and lamination, and with the EHS team for client delivery
Keep all materials current and on-brand
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
4+ years of B2B content marketing or digital marketing experience
Expert-level SEO with demonstrated ranking results — Ahrefs is your daily driver
Proven ghostwriting for C-suite or senior executives in B2B industries
Experience managing full editorial calendars independently, with minimal direction
Strong track record growing LinkedIn presence for a company or executive
Excellent written English — you catch errors others miss and you have range
Canva or basic design skills to adapt brand templates
Proficient in WordPress or equivalent CMS
Comfortable with AI writing tools to accelerate output — without sacrificing voice or accuracy
Self-directed: you manage your own priorities and deadlines without hand-holding
NICE TO HAVE
Familiarity with EHS, safety, manufacturing, or industrial compliance industries
Experience with newsletter platforms (ActiveCampaign or similar)
Background in managing or mentoring junior content contributors
