Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Engineer - AI/ML. The Senior ML Engineer will design and implement AI/ML models, manage and guide development teams, and deliver state-of-the-art solutions across regulated industries including Healthcare. The role includes analyzing business requirements, creating scalable machine learning systems, performing research, optimizing models, and ensuring integration with existing technologies. The ideal candidate will also mentor team members and contribute to strategic technical decisions — including compliance-aware AI system design under HIPAA and related frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end GenAI solutions (Multi-Agent Systems, RAG, LLM/SLM integrations) for Healthcare, Legal, and FinTech clients
• Design multi-agent orchestration frameworks and workflow automation systems
• Lead hands-on development using tools like LangChain and LangGraph
• Build and optimize AI pipelines (data to models to production systems) with a focus on reliability and auditability in clinical and regulated environments
• Integrate advanced AI capabilities including Voice Agents, Speech-to-Text / Text-to-Speech, and real-time AI communication systems
• Design and enforce HIPAA-compliant AI architectures — including PHI handling, data minimization, access controls, audit logging, and de-identification pipelines
• Define and enforce architecture standards, scalability, and performance best practices
• Mentor and lead engineers, fostering a high-performance AI team culture
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into compliant, production-grade AI solutions
• Ensure Responsible AI practices, system reliability, and regulatory alignment across all delivery work

Requirements

• 7+ years in Software Engineering or Technical Architecture
• Please note: we require a minimum of 4 years of industry experience in AI/ML, excluding academic and internship work. If you do not meet this requirement, please refrain from applying as your application will not be considered.
• Strong experience building AI-powered production systems in regulated industries (Healthcare preferred)
• Proven track record in startup or fast-paced environments
• Deep expertise in:
• Generative AI and Multi-Agent Systems
• LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks
• LLM/SLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and Prompt Engineering
• Vector databases and semantic retrieval
• Knowledge Graphs and AI orchestration
• Working knowledge of HIPAA technical safeguards PHI data flows, encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, and audit trail requirements
• Strong programming skills (Python preferred)
• Experience in scalable, real-time systems
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) is a strong advantage
