SUMMARY
We are looking for a mid to senior-level API Developer with extensive experience building real-time applications Java 17 or greater, Spring Boot, Azure DevOps and wants to be part of a team responsible for building client-side core banking applications and APIs. Primary duties will include designing and developing core-banking APIs that interaction with both the legacy core banking solution (e.g. Mainframe based legacy solution) but also the client's target core banking solution (e.g. modern SaaS solution)
All candidates must have real-time java application experience + core banking application experience
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and maintain high volume API and microservices.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications in a high volume mission critical environment.
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix defects.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have real-time java application experience + core banking application experience
- >8 years experience with Java (17 or greater).
- 5 years experience with Web Applications & Web Services.
- Experience with typical development workflows, such as building, testing, & deploying applications.
- Experience building real-time applications.
- 3 years experience working with Azure DevOps.
- 3 years experience with Spring/Spring Boot.
- 5 years experience building Java based API’s in a consumer banking environment using a microservices architecture, ideally focused on core banking. MuleSoft experience does not count.
- 3 years experience developing Cloud applications/systems.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience & solid understanding of source control such as SVN or Git.
- Knowledge & experience with databases, SQL, and connecting applications to them.
- Comfortable with troubleshooting multiple interconnected applications in an environment setting.
- Understand application scaling and how dependent connected services can impact performance.
- Demonstrated will & ability to learn new technologies.
