Product Design Lead – HR, IT & Finance Platform
Location: Remote or hybrid: New York, San Francisco, Seattle, plus multiple other US locations
A fast-growing, global B2B software company is hiring Product Design Leads to own major product areas across its HR, IT and Finance platform. You will take complex B2B workflows from 0→1 through to launch, turning administrative complexity into simple, intuitive user experiences.
This is a senior, hands-on role combining product strategy, end-to-end design, systems thinking and design leadership. You will work closely with Product and Engineering.
Product areas currently open
- Finance – Spend Management: Design a unified spend platform covering corporate cards, expenses, bill pay and travel, integrated directly with HR and Payroll data.
- Platform: Design the underlying systems that connect the company's products, including permissions, data visualisation, shared interfaces and scalable design frameworks.
What you'll do
- Own the design of a major product area from research and concept through wireframes and prototypes to shipped product
- Create scalable design frameworks and systems across a multi-product platform
- Partner with Product, Engineering and Research to frame problems and make product decisions
- Present design rationale, user impact and business impact to senior stakeholders
- Set the design standard for your area and contribute to design leadership
Requirements
- 8+ years of Product Design experience
- Experience at big tech and/or scaled growth-stage startups (ideally Series C+)
- A strong portfolio of B2B SaaS or web-based products
- Experience designing complex, high-impact products, ideally in domains such as Fintech, SaaS or Enterprise software
- A track record of taking products from research and concept to shipped product
- Strong systems thinking and the ability to build scalable design frameworks
- Solid technical understanding and the ability to work closely with Engineering
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and storytelling skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment
- Design education from a leading institution (for example SCAD or RISD) is advantageous
Interview process
- Recruiter screen (30 mins)
- Past work review with the Hiring Manager (45 mins)
- Final onsite: portfolio presentation of two case studies (60 mins)
- Final onsite: 1:1 interviews covering a design exercise, product thinking and collaboration, the Hiring Manager, and a Director/VP (approx. 2.5 hours)
A strong, highly visual portfolio showing product thinking, complexity, business impact and clear storytelling is the most important preparation.
