Lead Frontend Developer

Our client is looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to drive architecture, ensure high-quality code, and lead technical delivery for a large-scale enterprise web application.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including leading technical delivery for a product or feature team
• Strong proficiency in modern web and backend technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, Microservices, MongoDB/NoSQL
• Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end solutions in complex, distributed environments
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, trunk-based development, DevOps practices, and release/branching strategies
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and elevating overall team capability
• Ability to provide clear technical guidance and support informed decision-making for stakeholders
• Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and delivery excellence
• Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, product teams, and cross-functional partners
• Commitment to clean architecture, quality code, and maintainable solutions
• Ability to stay hands-on: building, debugging, reviewing PRs, and supporting production when needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery quality for the team
• Translate high-level architectural guidance into detailed team-level designs and implementation plans
• Ensure alignment with broader platform standards through close collaboration with the Solution Architect
• Work with the Product Owner to refine backlog items into actionable stories and epics
• Define and enforce non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, observability, security)
• Stay actively engaged in coding: spikes, prototypes, PR reviews, production support
• Guide developers through design decisions, implementation details, and best practices
• Debug complex issues, drive root-cause resolution, and identify improvement areas
• Mentor engineers via pairing, design discussions, and thorough PR reviews
• Support engineers’ technical growth and help align development with career goals
• Ensure delivery of robust, maintainable, well-tested software every sprint
• Identify and remove technical blockers, delivery risks, and ambiguity early
• Champion automation, clean architecture, and effective CI/CD practices
• Represent the team’s technical direction in architecture syncs, design reviews, and agile ceremonies
• Communicate proactively with all stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment
• Maintain a healthy PR process with meaningful, constructive feedback that improves code quality
