Software Engineer (AWS and Workday)

We are looking for a Software Engineer (AWS and Workday) for a 100% Remote, 12 month +, 1099 contract, possible Contract to Hire

Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help build scalable, cloud-native applications and integrations that support financial and operational systems. This role requires strong AWS expertise combined with hands-on experience in Workday Financial integrations. You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud-based applications and automation solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data flow, system reliability, and business outcomes.

Responsibilites:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using AWS services (Lambda, S3, MSK, Glue, etc.)
• Contribute to full-stack development using technologies such as .NET, Python, Go, SQL, and React
• Modernize legacy systems and participate in cloud migration efforts
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Develop and support Workday integrations using EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, Boomerang Integration
• Maintain financial integrations across modules like Core Financial Module, Accounting Center, and Prism Analytics
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Workday data flows
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to implement enhancements and automation
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
• Work closely with product owners and analysts to break down user stories and deliver business value
• Provide mentorship and peer code reviews to uphold engineering standards

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with AWS (Lambda, Glue, S3, etc.)
• Familiarity with Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, Boomerang Integration)
• Experience with .NET, Python, SQL, and web services
• Familiarity with Agile development practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Workday certification (Financials or Integration)
• Experience with Prism Analytics and Accounting Center
• Strong understanding of Workday security and reporting
• Experience integrating third-party systems and vendors
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
