The Role
The Cash App Engagement & Retention Marketing team builds and maintains deep, personalized relationships with our customers by understanding their needs — and delivering the right message, at the right time, through the right channel. Our goal is to nurture those relationships, drive meaningful action, and reinforce positive brand sentiment throughout the customer journey.
We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Associate to help evolve how we communicate with customers across lifecycle channels, using levers like incentives, promotions, and product education to drive banking product adoption and engagement. This role will also contribute to trust-building initiatives, helping shape how we use marketing to reinforce Cash App’s reliability and commitment to keeping customers' money and data safe.
Our work is both quantitatively and qualitatively data-driven, innovative, and impact-oriented — and you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to programs that shape the way customers perceive and engage with Cash App across their journey. You’ll work cross-functionally to develop campaigns, run experiments, and contribute to scaling our lifecycle engine to be smarter, more personalized, and more effective at converting consideration into action.
You will:
Develop and execute lifecycle marketing campaigns that drive banking adoption and engagement, using levers like incentives, product promotions, and product content & education
Create and run strategic experiments to evaluate new and evolving conversion levers — such as incentives programs and product features — and apply learnings to optimize future campaigns
Partner with creative, product marketing, brand, and insights teams to develop content strategies and campaign messaging that resonate with our customer base
Support early pilots into new growth channels, assisting with targeting, messaging, and operational workflows
Build, QA, deploy, and monitor campaigns using CRM tools, ensuring accuracy and a seamless customer experience
Contribute to our CRM personalization strategy by leveraging customer attributes, behavior, and segmentation to increase relevance and impact
Help reinforce customer trust in Cash App by supporting campaigns that highlight our security features, clarify support pathways, and strengthen perceptions of safety and reliability
Track and report on campaign performance in partnership with Analytics, and use insights to inform iteration and identify opportunities for growth
Manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and clear communication
Maintain lifecycle channel health by monitoring performance metrics related to segmentation, deliverability, and list hygiene across email, push, and SMS
You have:
3+ years of experience in lifecycle or CRM marketing, ideally in a B2C tech environment
Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and personalization platforms (e.g., Moveable Ink)
Strong campaign execution skills, with experience developing strategy, managing projects, and executing across multiple lifecycle channels
Comfortable analyzing performance data to generate insights and optimize campaigns; proficient in SQL, Tableau, Google Sheets or similar tools
Collaborative team player with a growth mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
Familiarity with customer segmentation, lifecycle funnel design, or incentive-based marketing strategies is a plus
Working knowledge of compliance standards like CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA
Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment preferred

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
