My client is a fast-growing software company specializing in high-performance email infrastructure for service providers and enterprises. Their secure, scalable platform powers mission-critical communications with advanced customization.

To support its next stage of growth, the company is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager who thrives on building structure, shaping compelling narratives, and distilling technical complexity into clarity.

The Role

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for building and owning the Product Marketing function from the ground up. This is a strategic, high‑impact role—not a maintenance position.

They will define foundational frameworks, processes, and best practices across positioning, messaging, go‑to‑market strategy, and sales enablement. As the organisation’s narrative owner and trend observer, they will monitor the market, customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging themes across email infrastructure, security, and AI.

The role operates at the intersection of Product, Sales, Demand Generation, Organic Discovery, and MarComms, ensuring consistent, compelling, and differentiated communication across all touchpoints.

What the Product Marketing Manager Will Do

  • Build and own the Product Marketing function, including messaging frameworks, segmentation‑based positioning, and mapping product capabilities to customer pain points.
  • Serve as the organisation’s narrative owner and trend spotter, translating market, customer, competitive, and AI‑related signals into messaging architecture and strategic themes.
  • Lead positioning, value propositions, and differentiation to ensure messaging is credible, consistent, and reflected across all channels.
  • Drive go‑to‑market execution for features and product updates, including audience definition, messaging, content, and sales enablement materials.
  • Establish strong sales enablement and competitive intelligence to clarify offerings, target buyers, and win strategies.
  • Gather, synthesise, and communicate market insights to influence positioning, GTM strategy, and product roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Organic Discovery teams to ensure product narratives are integrated across canonical, organic, and LLM‑optimised content.
  • Produce a high volume of original Product Marketing content: narrative documents, briefs, decks, GTM pages, competitive intel, and authority‑building assets.
  • Define and articulate positioning relative to real buying alternatives—not just direct competitors.
  • Own how the company is represented in sales conversations, analyst engagements, and buyer evaluation moments.

What the Successful Candidate Will Bring

  • 5–8+ years of Product Marketing experience in email infrastructure, email security, deliverability, MTAs, or similar technical areas.
  • Proven ability to build or scale Product Marketing functions.
  • A strong ability to translate technically complex products into business‑focused value and differentiated narratives.
  • Experience impacting revenue outcomes, including pipeline influence, win rate improvements, and deal acceleration.
  • Ownership experience across positioning, messaging, GTM execution, sales enablement, and competitive differentiation.
  • A structured, hands‑on, delivery‑focused mindset, with excellent written and verbal English skills and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • German language skills are a plus, but not required.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A rare opportunity to build Product Marketing from the ground up at a company shaping an emerging category.
  • Direct influence on market perception, narrative direction, and how analysts and AI systems understand the organisation’s value.
  • Clear impact on revenue, sales effectiveness, messaging consistency, and strategic clarity.
  • A dynamic environment where roles evolve with ownership, variety, and opportunities to turn insight into action.
