Cardinal Digital Marketing is looking for a Paid Social Media Manager who will be responsible for day-to-day management of paid social media campaigns and programmatic campaigns from planning to execution, with modest supervision.
The Paid Social Media Manager will report directly to the Associate Media Director who will assist with strategy development and planning. The Paid Social Media Manager should have strong client facing skills and be able to participate as a subject matter expert in pitch meetings with new prospects, help lead client calls and reinforce strategy.
This role will support the Associate Media Director in a variety of aspects of media planning. The Paid Social Media Manager is responsible and accountable for the daily management of campaigns, including understanding and optimizing performance drivers and being able to provide actionable recommendations based on data.
This person will need to work with the creative team on the development of new client assets including messaging and design concepts. The ideal candidate for this role has direct experience managing Paid Social and Programmatic campaigns and is multi-faceted with a foundational understanding of paid search and display. The ability to apply best practices in social areas is a must and key to the candidate’s success. This is a client-facing role.
JOB SUMMARY
- Successful end-to-end management of designated paid social media accounts and/or designated work within media accounts
- Own all Paid Social strategy, project ideation, road mapping, & testing, leading the team with confidence and direction
- Work with Account Managers and the Associate Media Director to identify client goals, priorities and efficiency requirements, ultimately improving Paid Social’s contribution to business success.
- Actively works to increase billing for existing social accounts, and propose opportunities to expand social coverage for new accounts
- Continually work to learn new strategies, test new platforms, and expand Cardinal’s Paid Social and Programmatic offerings
- Function as primary point of contact both internally and externally for all ‘owned’ accounts – responsible for pacing and performance of held accounts including optimizations, structural updates, bidding methodologies, conversion types and copy revisions
- Responsible for generating reporting, writing insights, and communicating with the client for designated accounts including designing and deploying tests in accounts on a monthly and quarterly cadence (structural, targeting, creative & messaging, conversion, etc.)
- Responsible for continual testing, verification, and improvement of full-funnel structures
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5+ years of experience, primarily in Paid Social and Programmatic; ideal candidates have experience in all paid media channels
- Experience managing paid social budget ranges above 100k per month
- Experience driving social strategy and testing
- Experience in multiple paid social platforms, primarily Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and programmatic: DV360, Stack Adapt, Trade Desk or equivalent ; additional platform familiarity: Google Ads, Bing, DSPs, Reddit
- Experience with Full-Funnel strategies, video, lead generation
- Ability to write ad copy, design creative strategy, and establish a creative testing cadence
- Confident ability to communicate with and convince clients.
- Great at reporting and insights, and great at identifying and optimizing towards client’s businesses goals
- Experience in full project ownership, from the first step of writing strategy briefs and recommendations, all the way to deploying campaigns/tests in-platform and reporting on results
