Scope of Work:
Capio Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Software Engineer/Application Integration to augment and support current client staff in the implementation and Maintenance & Operations (M&O) of the Continuum-EHR (Electronic Health Record) solution. This role involves providing critical IT services while ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality standards and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Software Engineer/Application Integration will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
Prepare and deliver written Monthly Status Reports (MSR). MSRs will include the following information, but not limited to:
The background, scope, and purpose of services,
A summary of the work completed during the reporting period, showing actual vs. planned
Highlighted tasks that are work in progress, behind schedule, adopted remediation plans, and overall impact on the project
The status of the overall engagement and all phases/ projects, including discussion of risks, problems encountered, solutions, and proposed solutions
The tasks expected to be completed in the next reporting period. Ad hoc reporting as required
Present and deliver written and verbal weekly/regular status reports that include an
Overview of upcoming activities,
Schedule,
Findings and
Corrective action planning
API / Service Development
Establish a framework for Application Programming Interface (API) / Service-based development by creating and maintaining a technical playbook for client developers based on API, Event-Driven, and Service architecture(s)
Mulesoft Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) / Anypoint Message Queuing (MQ)
Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, develop, and implement public cloud Electronic Health Record (EHR) to legacy on-premises / private cloud inter-application near real-time integrations, and train client developers to do the same
Creating Medical and Other Data Exchange Software Interfaces
Under the collaborative guidance of client leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, develop, and implement REST and other APIs and / or software interfaces to expose medical and other legacy Data in on-premises / private cloud and / or public cloud applications, and train client developers to do the same
Application Privacy and Security
Under the collaborative guidance of client senior leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, design, and implement application privacy and security best practices. Provide ability to verify via audit trail the application-level privacy and security technical controls.
Implement application protections regarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI), and / or Criminal Justice Information (CJI) as applicable.
Coach and model for client developers best practices and repeatable “how to” techniques to do the same
NoSQL Unstructured Data Platforms
Under the collaborative guidance of client senior leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, design, and implement NoSQL unstructured Data platforms, e.g., Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB.
Coach, model for, and train client developers and / or database administrators (DBAs) on NoSQL best practices, common errors made by those new to NoSQL technologies and how to avoid them, use cases, and when to and not to use NoSQL to solve business problems
Continuous Integration / Delivery / Deployment Dev of DevOps
Under the collaborative guidance of client senior leadership and the core architects, collaboratively plan, design, implement, and train client staff to operate a continuous integration / delivery/deployment platform, e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab Continuous Integration, and best practices pertaining thereto from the application development perspective of DevOps
Knowledge Transfer
Prepare and deliver all documents and artifacts required for client staff to perform Agile Methodology, including Scrum, automated software unit and regression testing, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery/Deployment, application and integration software enterprise architecture, on-premises / private cloud to public cloud application migrations, application containerization and ongoing operations on Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms and customizations, on-premises / private cloud and public cloud application alerting, observability, and monitoring, creating and modifying existing REST and other APIs / software interfaces used to expose medical and other Data, near real- time (using Mulesoft ESB / Anypoint MQ) and batch ETL Data integrations using SQL pipelines and / or JDBC, the appropriate use and implementation of NoSQL technologies, Data analytics and science, e.g., notebook and report authoring best practices, configuration and limited customization of full-stack Web applications, software architecture principles and best practices, and application and Data privacy and security best practices pertaining to PII, PHI, and CJI. The artifacts should include the following:
Knowledge Transfer Plan
Training Materials for client trainers and Staff
Facilitated “show and tell” Sessions
Voiceover video walkthroughs
Hands-on collaboration sessions
Peer reviews
Advisory support
Develop and submit a Final Report. The report shall detail Contract activities, accomplishments, a budget summary, lessons learned, and suggestions for improvement
