Head of Demand Generation— Marketing

Compensation: Equity up to 0.50% (4-year vest, 6-month cliff). No salary until our $3M+ seed closes.
Role type: Marketing — Demand Generation (pipeline creation).
Not a sales/AE role: You do not own quota or contracting/closing. You create marketing-sourced pipeline and partner with sales/founder to move deals through discovery → pilot → conversion.

Mission of this role (IC-heavy, player/coach)
Own pipeline now: book qualified meetings with CHRO / Compliance / Risk / Security and fuel pilot signings—hands on, end-to-end demand programs.
What success looks like (first 90 days)
- ≥12 qualified enterprise meetings (4+/mo) with ICP buyers
- ≥3 signed pilots across two target verticals
- Clean attribution in HubSpot/Salesforce (every meeting/pilot tagged to source)
- Programs live: segmented ABM list, multistep sequences, one credibility asset, one niche roundtable
You will
- ICP & messaging: Lock segments (e.g., healthcare, logistics/manufacturing) and talk tracks around audit risk, expirations, role gaps.
- Account selection (ABM): Build a tiered list with triggers (audits, expansions, incidents, leadership changes).
- Programs that book meetings: Multichannel outbound (email + LinkedIn + warm-intro asks); cred assets (Trust Score/audit-pack one-pager, pilot overview); small expert roundtables/webinars.
- Funnel discipline: Define MQL/SQL/SAL, instrument campaigns, maintain dashboards, forecast weekly.
- Collaboration with sales/founder: You generate demand; sales/founder run discovery and contracting. You tune messaging from recordings and loss reasons.
- Compliance: Run opt-in, compliant outreach (CAN-SPAM/GDPR/CCPA/TCPA) and keep domain/list health tight.
You have
- Recent enterprise demand-gen wins that turned into meetings/SQLs (not just impressions).
- Programs aimed at CHRO/Compliance/Risk/Security with attribution to opportunities.
- Hands-on HubSpot/Salesforce skills; comfortable running your own list-build/verification/sequencing stack.
- Concise, executive-grade copy; you ship weekly without an agency army.
Equity-only fit
- Is for: builders who want ownership and upside and can execute hands-on now.
- Not for: candidates needing cash comp today or brand/PR-only focus.
Compensation
- Equity up to 0.50% (founding band; final % based on experience/scope), 4-year vest, 6-month cliff.
