General Description Of The Role
The Field Marketing team is focused on the perfection of route to market, embedded within the Sales team and partnering closely Brand & Channel Marketing. The team will be focused solely on the flawless and creative execution of quality field marketing programs, enabling the best sales force in the industry.
The Territory Field Marketing Manager supports the activation of national programs and the creation and implementation of local programs that bring Campari brands to life against the Commercial Plan. The Territory Field Marketing Manager partners with the Region Field Marketing Manager and State team to outline a robust field marketing plan to enable sales plan goals and to optimize on market opportunities. The role is responsible for leading and coordinating programs and events that drive profitable growth across assigned territory. The position works closely with Brand & Channel Marketing, Field Sales, Distributor Merchandising teams and Agency teams to ensure brand strategy compliance, commercial feasibility, and executional excellence.
Key Responsibilities And Activities
_Communication and Planning
_
- Contributes to integrated and collaborative communication towards One Commercial Plan with Region FMM, Channel Marketing, Brand Marketing and Field Sales for dedicated territory.
- Proactively builds strong partnerships with Field Sales, Brand Marketing, and Channel Marketing.
- Leads planning and execution with distributor management and merchandising teams that drive our commercial objectives through national and local programming
_Program Planning and Review

- Works closely with the Channel Marketing and Field Sales to plan the commercial calendar and execution details for in market trade programs.
- Manages frequent and robust communications with Field Sales to ensure effective program initiation, coordination, resource alignment and assignment of accountabilities.
- Identifies account segmentation and local program processes that enable the execution of our commercial resources and drives sell out.
- Establishes program review performance processes and provides feedback to FMM, Channel & Brand Marketing and Sales to influence future programming.
_Program Management

- Monitors local program execution to ensure delivery of targeted KPIs.
- Enables flawless program execution by developing plans with local team to mitigate risks and accelerate opportunities
- Conducts regular market visits to keep current on market trends and provide recommendations and feedback to Region FMM, Channel & Brand Marketing for future program improvements and/or opportunistic trade activations.
- Coordinates with Activation Agency & Market Managers to ensure program KPIs are aligned to support local market execution
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting on the results of all key activations, ensuring transparency and compliance while driving ROI and a focus on continuous executional improvement.
- Manages the Point-of-Sale process in assigned market; coordinating initial strategy, (including quantity forecasting and budget process), matching program “sell-in” to element delivery and merchandising efforts.
_Distributor Management

- Works with State Channel Managers, KAMs, and On-Premise Team to ensure the coordinated planning and activation of key programs in assigned areas of focus. i.e. Channel Area Managers and/or Merchandising teams.
- Supports sales to develop and implement plans and activities to ensure key distributor teams have the information needed to execute successfully against the Campari portfolio plans and to meet assigned depletion and account growth goals.
_Budget Management

- Manages program activation budgets in line with the agreed commercial plan
- Utilizes tracking and reporting tools to monitor activities, correlate activities to sales and monitor ROI
_Communication Planning

- Contributes to integrated and collaborative communication towards One Commercial Plan with Region FMM, Channel & Brand Marketing and Field Sales

- Proactively builds strong partnerships with Field Sales, Channel & Brand Marketing
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within territory
- Read and analyze data from a variety of sources and mediums
- Develop and execute effective presentations
- Support the physical activations of programs/events as needed
- Communicate regularly by phone, email and in-person meetings with key stakeholders such as field Sales, agencies etc.
Experience Required
- 5+ years’ experience related to Field Sales experience
- At least 2 years’ experience involving detailed program design and activations in the assigned markets
Education / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
