Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead our marketing initiatives in the wastewater and renewable energy sectors. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement a cohesive marketing strategy and plan. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in environmental technology, sustainable practices, and digital marketing strategies.
Additionally, the Senior Marketing Manager will be instrumental in generating sales leads and enhancing Cambrian's brand image to support sales growth. As the company expands, this individual will also identify hiring needs and build a marketing team focused on positioning Cambrian as a leader in cost-effective treatment solutions.
Essential Functions
Marketing Strategy & Planning:
- Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Sales to create a marketing plan, including goals and budget management.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote our wastewater treatment solutions and renewable energy products.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning and messaging.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product development, to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Coordinate with external partners, including agencies and vendors, to optimize marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Campaign Management & Content Development:
- Collaborate with external public relations representatives to enhance brand visibility through media outreach, press releases, and events.
- Create and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement.
- Oversee the distribution of leads to the sales team and establish systems to track conversion rates.
- Oversee the creation of compelling marketing materials, including brochures, case studies, white papers, and online content that effectively communicate the benefits of our products and services
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all materials, including digital platforms and printed collateral, in partnership with branding consultants and leadership.
- Update website content, optimize search engines, and analyze metrics to improve online user experience and brand presence.
- Develop and maintain marketing and sales materials, manage inventory, and procure promotional items for trade shows and prospects.
- Coordinate Cambrian's participation in market events, including logistics and networking opportunities, while representing the company at selected tradeshows.
Marketing Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness for optimal public perception.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on marketing performance and key insights.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent messaging and timely delivery of information.
- Analyze customer feedback and market trends to refine marketing strategies and product offerings.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in the wastewater and renewable energy sectors.
- Attend webinars and promotional events to engage prospects and customers, generating leads and showcasing Cambrian's offerings.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Wastewater, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 10-15 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the wastewater or renewable energy industry.
- Experience in marketing, lead generation, and brand management.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies, including CRM systems, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for sustainability and environmental impact.
