About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to shape Called’s experience across web and mobile. As the sole designer on our mission-driven team, you’ll own the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframes to polished interfaces, ensuring our product is simple, intuitive, and truly meets the needs of ministry leaders.

You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering to bring clarity to ambiguity, advocate for users with empathy, and help build a product that feels personal and accessible. What You’ll Do:

• Own the end-to-end design process from user research to high-fidelity UI across iOS, Android, and web while partnering closely and collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing.
• Lead user research and usability testing to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities.
• Champion the real needs of ministry leaders by deeply understanding their pain points, advocating for clarity, accessibility, and simplicity in every design decision to serve them well.
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for mobile and web.
• Own and expand the design system and visual language with room for creative exploration as the product grows.
• Help shape product strategy by connecting user needs with business goals, ensuring design decisions drive both impact and alignment.
• Lean in where it matters most, even outside your lane, as we build something meaningful together.

What We’re Looking For:

• You have 5+ years of experience designing UX for ideally SaaS, consumer apps, or mission-driven products.

• You thrive in a startup environment: you're scrappy, resourceful, and take ownership, always willing to figure things out and move forward even when the path isn’t fully clear.

• You work well in Agile environments, comfortable with quick iterations, tight feedback loops, and collaborating closely with product and engineering.

• You’re fluent in Figma (or similar tools), and know how to bring ideas to life quickly.

• You actively leverage AI tools as part of your design rhythm, using them to spark ideas, accelerate concepts, and prototype faster so the team can move with clarity and speed.

• You’re comfortable talking with users and translating insights into action.

• You think in systems and can connect the dots across flows, edge cases, and roles.

• You care about the details like microcopy, empty states, loading moments, etc.

• You want to use your gifts to build something that truly helps the Church.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Experience improving minimal or early-stage design systems with a UX focus.
• Familiarity with ministry: church, campus, or nonprofit.
