About the Role

A leading AI research initiative is recruiting experienced Software Engineers with hands-on experience using AI coding agents to perform realistic coding tasks on production-grade codebases.

In this role, you will work on projects that help train and evaluate next-generation AI coding systems — contributing directly to how future models reason, debug, and write software in real-world conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Use AI coding agents (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, or similar) to complete complex, real-world software tasks.
• Design, test, and validate small to medium code projects in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Evaluate AI-generated code for functionality, clarity, and performance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with researchers and engineers to enhance coding benchmarks.
• Provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning and software design.

Ideal Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python (multi-language expertise is a plus).
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI coding tools into your development workflow.
• Contributions to open-source projects or public repositories on GitHub.
• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a top university (U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail, debugging ability, and problem-solving rigor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand.

Role Highlights

• Flexible workload: 10–20 hours/week, with potential to scale up to 40 hours.
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own time.
• Duration: Minimum of 2 weeks, with potential for extension.

Compensation & Contract

• Rate: $70–$90 USD/hour (based on experience and region).
