The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Data Scientist with experience in software engineering in support of critical national security missions. This role will focus on innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets. The role requires independent problem-solving and multitasking skills to address diverse issues. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have knowledge/experience of existing military data sources and intelligence practices. Effective communication skill and collaboration with government customers and a wide range of stakeholders is a must!

Job Responsibilities

• Use critical thinking to assess deficiencies in existing solutions or expert system-based applications and provide recommendations for improvement
• Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
• Make/communicate principled conclusions from data using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application specific knowledge.
• Make informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions through awareness of the constantly shifting customer collections, processing, storage and analytic capabilities and limitations.
• Translate complex technical concepts and findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to deploy data-driven solutions
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes or APIs to support data ingestion and processing.
• Automate data collection, preprocessing, and transformation tasks to streamline workflows.
• Use version control systems to manage code and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years Data Scientist
• Current Top-Secret SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree CS, or related field
• Flowable familiarity
• NiFi familiarity
• Groovy or Java familiarity

• Willingness and aptitude to stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and software engineering to propose innovative solutions.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$62,800-$128,600
