Freelance / Remote / Project-Based
About the Role
We’re looking for a UX Designer with a strong foundation in data analysis and conversion strategy. This role sits at the intersection of research, analytics, and design. You’ll lead the discovery and optimization of user journeys across digital experiences: using data to guide decision-making, and design to remove friction and improve conversion.
You’ll work closely with creative directors, designers, and strategists to shape user experiences that are not only intuitive but also performance-focused.
Note that this is primarily a web-specific role, but occasional product design opportunities may arise. Successful candidates will have experience with analyzing and optimizing large, enterprise-level site maps with a high level of attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze quantitative data (e.g. GA4, Hotjar, PostHog, funnel reports) to uncover behavioral patterns and identify friction points.
- Map end-to-end user journeys and identify moments of confusion, drop-off, or unmet needs.
- Develop actionable hypotheses and design A/B or multivariate tests to validate improvements.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and UX flows that clearly communicate solutions.
- Collaborate with designers to bring concepts to high fidelity.
- Report on test results and refine the UX approach based on learnings.
- Champion a data-informed design process, balancing business goals and user needs.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of UX experience, ideally with exposure to CRO or performance-focused projects.
- Strong grasp of GA4, Hotjar, PostHog, session replay tools, and funnel analytics.
- Experience with user research methods and usability testing.
- Proficiency in journey mapping and structuring UX recommendations into clear design direction.
- Skilled in wireframing and rapid prototyping (Figma required).
- Clear communication and documentation skills-able to present findings and strategies.
- Familiarity with B2B and/or enterprise UX strategy.
Bonus Points
- Experience designing or interpreting A/B tests.
- Knowledge of behavioral psychology principles and persuasive UX.
- Ability to work closely with visual designers and content strategists on scalable systems.
