Purpose
The Director of Marketing Operations is responsible for developing and executing multi-channel marketing communications strategies to support BVI Medical’s growth objectives. This role ensures a consistent brand voice across digital, print, events, and internal channels. The individual will partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Global and Downstream Marketing, Regulatory, and Sales, to deliver compliant, impactful, and measurable campaigns.
This role will manage a Global Marketing Communications and Tradeshows and Events team to coordinate efforts to elevate BVI’s global commercial marketing performance through developing and executing targeted multi-channel marketing plans across key markets to drive awareness, engagement, and commercial impact across cataract, retina, and glaucoma portfolios in key markets.
Success in this role means ability to scale marketing programs through digital campaigns, streamline processes, and improve marketing ROI through data, insights, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated marketing communication plans and content that align with business and product objectives.
- Ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment across all channels and geographies.
- Manage development of marketing collateral, digital campaigns, presentations, and event materials.
- Partner with external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality communication assets.
- Collaborate with Training, Sales and Commercial teams to provide aligned tools, training, and resources.
- Support product launches with communication plans that integrate clinical evidence, KOL engagement, and customer insights.
- Oversee department budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and ROI measurement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and data privacy standards across all communications.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign effectiveness to inform continuous improvement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across global teams.
- Proficiency in marketing operations tools and systems (e.g., campaign calendars, digital asset management, approval workflows).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define KPIs, interpret performance data, and generate actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement approach to optimizing marketing processes, tools, and team execution.
Qualification
Minimum Required Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, content development, and analytics.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, integrated marketing communications, or project management within the healthcare, medical device, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing global or regional marketing processes is essential. Proven success in supporting or leading product launches, event execution, and digital campaign enablement within regulated environments is expected.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are considered an asset.
