As our North American business continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to help expand our presence in the US market.

About the Role

This is a full-time remote contract position for an experienced sales professional based in the United States.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, generating qualified sales opportunities and helping grow Buzznation's exhibition business across North America.

You will work closely with our international leadership, design and project management teams while independently managing your own sales pipeline and business development activities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative B2B sales, networking and developing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the United States.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Engage with Marketing Directors, Event Managers, Procurement teams, Brand Managers and other key decision-makers.
  • Schedule and conduct discovery meetings with prospective clients.
  • Generate qualified opportunities for exhibition design and build projects.

Client Relationship Management

  • Understand client objectives, exhibition requirements and project scope.
  • Present Buzznation's capabilities, portfolio and value proposition.
  • Develop trusted relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Proposal & Sales Process

  • Collaborate with internal design and project teams to prepare proposals and quotations.
  • Coordinate client presentations and proposal reviews.
  • Follow up consistently to move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Support commercial negotiations and successfully close new business.

Market Development

  • Research companies exhibiting at major trade shows throughout North America.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events and exhibitions when required.
  • Represent Buzznation professionally within the industry.

Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Submit weekly activity and pipeline reports.
  • Meet agreed sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Development, B2B Sales or Account Management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-driven, organized and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States as business requires.

Compensation

This is a full-time independent contractor (1099) engagement.

The compensation package includes:
