Job Title: Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) – Cognitive Simplicity

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) who is passionate about cognitive simplicity and designing high-impact B2B SaaS experiences. This contract role (20–40 hours per week for 3+ months) will focus on building a unified “Command Center” interface that allows users to manage complex technical ecosystems through clear, action-oriented design.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and has a proven track record designing complex enterprise platforms, data-heavy dashboards, and automation workflows. This role will partner closely with engineering and subject matter experts to transform intricate technical logic into elegant, scalable product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Federated Product Experience Design:
• Design a unified “Single Pane of Glass” experience that orchestrates multiple technical sub-applications into one cohesive product ecosystem while maintaining logical consistency and independent operability.
• SME-Led Product Translation:
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to translate manual service logic into intuitive, automated product flows that simplify complex operational processes.
• Complexity Reduction & UX Simplification:
• Design data-dense dashboards and automation frameworks that enable “Management by Exception,” reducing cognitive overload and enabling users to quickly identify risks and actionable insights.
• Agentic Interface Design:
• Define user interaction patterns for autonomous AI/agentic layers, including communication of intent, progress visualization, and verification checkpoints within technical suites.
• Design System Ownership:
• Build and maintain a scalable design system that supports rapid product development across multiple technical domains while maintaining visual and experiential consistency.
• Cognitive Ergonomics & Visual Hierarchy:
• Apply principles of white space, typography, color, and layout to reduce decision fatigue and guide users toward clear next steps without unnecessary UI complexity.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience:

• 5+ years of UI/UX or Product Design experience

• Experience designing B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or complex data-driven applications

• Proven experience simplifying complex systems into intuitive workflows

• Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Figma (Components, Variables, Auto-Layout)

• Experience with prototyping and logic/state mapping tools (e.g., Miro)

• Experience designing data-heavy dashboards, workflow editors, or automation builders

• Strong understanding of technical constraints (APIs, JSON schemas, system logic)

• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with Node.js and Vue.js environments

• Ability to design within engineering feasibility constraints

• Strong executive and cross-functional communication skills

• Certifications: Not required.

• Other:

• Portfolio required (must demonstrate simplification case studies showing complex “before” to streamlined “after”)

• Ability to defend design decisions using data and logical reasoning

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced product transformation environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing for Data Governance, Analytics, DevOps, MarTech, AdTech, or cloud infrastructure platforms
• Experience designing AI-driven or agentic interface experiences
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in product-led organizations
