Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team remotely. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled full-stack developer with proven expertise in React and modern web technologies, capable of leading architectural assessments and driving technical excellence. This role will involve leading the design and development of scalable applications, conducting architecture assessments, and mentoring team members in a 6-month contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Application Development: Design and develop scalable, high-performance React applications from conception to deployment, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Architecture Assessment & Enhancement: Conduct comprehensive assessments of current application architecture and identify areas for improvement across UI, application, and data layers.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Architect and implement enhancements across the entire technology stack, working with both frontend and backend technologies to deliver robust solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, designers, and backend engineers to align on technical goals and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to team growth and technical excellence while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development with a proven track record of leading application redesigns or major feature builds
• Skills: Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern front-end frameworks, backend technologies (Node.js, Express, or similar), RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices architecture, and database design and integration (SQL and/or NoSQL)
• Certifications: Not required, but relevant certifications in cloud platforms or modern development frameworks are valued
• Other: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills for remote collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with performance optimization and application scalability, knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), exposure to data visualization or analytics platforms, and previous experience in mentoring or technical leadership roles.
