Job Summary
We are looking for a Front End Software Engineer to join our development team in Brooklyn, OH or remotely (EST time zone). The ideal candidate will be an experienced Angular developer with strong expertise in web accessibility standards and ADA compliance. This role will focus on refactoring mobile and web banking applications to meet ADA standards and address a backlog of non-compliant code.
Key Responsibilities
- ADA Compliance Refactoring: Lead the refactoring of mobile and web banking applications to ensure full compliance with ADA (American Disability Act) standards and resolve existing non-compliant code.
- Angular Development: Develop and maintain complex front-end applications using Angular framework in a corporate environment, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Web Accessibility Implementation: Apply advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards to create accessible web experiences that serve users with diverse abilities.
- Component Development: Create and maintain reusable UI components following established design systems and UX guidelines while ensuring accessibility compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Write comprehensive unit tests and utilize automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and accessibility standards are maintained.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent work experience

Experience: Experience using Angular (or other framework) in a corporate environment, not including school projects

Skills:

Strong understanding of Web Standards and HTML semantics

Strong CSS knowledge and experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. Sass or Less)

Advanced JavaScript knowledge

Experience with BEM or other modular CSS methodology

Experience creating and using reusable UI components

Experience writing unit tests and utilizing automated testing

Good verbal, written and listening communication skills

Certifications: Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and ADA standards and compliance

Other: Must be available EST timezone, willing to work on-site in Brooklyn, OH or remotely
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience guiding, contributing to or using a design system
- Web Components and Typescript experience
- Micro Front-ends architecture knowledge
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment
- Agile development methodology experience
- GIT and GIT Workflows proficiency
- Hybrid mobile applications experience (e.g. Cordova)
- Experience in Linux/Unix/Mac OS X based environments
- Familiarity with Angular CLI, Webpack, Gulp, Docker, Jenkins, Selenium, Swagger, SonarQube, Mocha, Karma, Jasmine
- Comfortable working with command line tools & scripting
Contract Details
- Duration: 3-month contract assignment
- Start Date: September 15, 2025
- End Date: December 12, 2025
- Pay Rate: $82.00 per hour
