Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in Generative AI, machine learning, and automation to help optimize and improve prior authorization (PA) processes. This role will focus on building and deploying AI-driven solutions that improve the efficiency of healthcare workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying large language models (LLMs), developing RAG pipelines, and working with cloud-based AI infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Powered Automation: Develop Generative AI models to automate prior authorization (PA) processes and reduce the need for manual reviews.
• Model Deployment & Optimization: Build, train, and deploy LLMs and agentic workflows in a cloud environment to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• RAG Pipelines & Data Engineering: Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines for enhanced AI-driven decision-making.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Work within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (or AWS, if applicable) to support AI/ML infrastructure needs.
• Agile Problem-Solving: Own technical challenges, troubleshoot AI models, and iterate solutions in an agile, evolving environment.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with data scientists, engineers, and automation teams to deploy scalable solutions.

Requirements:

• Education: – Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

• Experience:

• 5+ years in Data Science or AI/ML Engineering.

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience with GenAI model deployment and LLMs in production.

• Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Python & SQL expertise.

• Strong experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.

• Cloud experience: GCP preferred (AWS acceptable).

• Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills – must be able to think critically and iterate solutions independently.

• Agile and adaptable, able to handle shifting priorities and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare AI experience, particularly in prior authorization or claims automation.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps, LangChain, Hugging Face, and advanced AI deployment tools.
