Senior ML Engineer

Our product empowers media ad sales and operations teams to make fast, confident decisions by providing a single point of access to explore, analyze, and share insights across their advertising business.

The Role

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing our forecasting service. You will design and implement large-scale features, working closely with our team to select the right technologies and plan for the implementations.

You will further play a crucial role in maintaining our robust data pipelines, processing and transforming raw data from multiple sources, and building machine learning models to predict advertising inventory accurately. You will work with both NoSQL and SQL databases and employ Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches to ensure efficient and scalable deployments.

You will collaborate in a dynamic environment where we follow agile methodologies to ensure rapid development, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with our users. The role involves leveraging big data technologies, transitioning from the Spark family to Clickhouse, and working on cloud platforms to ensure our service is scalable, reliable, and easily accessible.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineer
• 3+ years of production backend/ML development/comparable experience
• 1+ year with Python
• Practical knowledge in ML and statistics: GBDT, scikit-learn, feature engineering, validation and tuning.
• Algorithms and data structures; not being scared of them and being able to reason.
• Ability to switch hats and being self-sufficient as both data scientist and software engineer.
• Being ready to develop a product in a customer oriented team, taking responsibility and approach challenges conscientiously.
• Proficient in English and Russian

Bonus points for

• Time series experience is a plus. DL and SOTA architectures is not a requirement because honestly we are not there yet.
• Java/Scala/Kotlin experience is a plus.
• MLOps experience is a plus.

📍 This role can be hybrid from our Gothenburg office, or fully remote. If you work remotely, we will invite you to Gothenburg about once per quarter for team meetups and collaboration.
